CODE BLUE

Gimme Shelter

Gimme Shelter

I have started volunteering with the Open Door Mission here in Rochester.  They call emergency cold snaps (polar vortexes) “CODE BLUE” to raise awareness and urgency for our homeless neighbors. A $50 donation supports a backpack of emergency essentials, meals and a clean, warm bed.

AND/OR donate your gently used coats and boots (women’s and children’s) at a drop off location near you…clean your closet and give! Here are the locations – more pending

AND/OR pray for the safety of people who have to wonder every day where they are going to sleep that night…and be ever so grateful for your shelter from this storm!
