It is hard to really rest…to do nothing but rest.
Not sleeping, just sitting with yourself (or laying in a fav spot in the sun in Grandma’s room as Kitty has perfected)…maybe thinking, but definitely NOT talking, not singing, driving, on the phone, computer, tv, radio. To be single-minded with rest as your only task.
Even thinking is a second task in addition to resting. Hard to turnoff your mind unless you are good at meditation.
I’ve read that even 10 minutes of day of shut off/shut down time can dramatically your ability to focus and accomplish tasks while de-stressing yourself in the process.
I think you have 10 minutes…
