Had another Beverage Service last night – a little smoother than the night before…I have a feeling things will get easier as we go along. There is also an emerging daily meeting/eating routine on sea days. Good. Right now though, it feels like Learning Curve Mountain.
Our first “Cultural/Logistical Preport” program for Lisbon last night was excellent. Preport is always held the night before we go into a port to get our bearings. We get the scoop on food, culture, language, safety and most importantly when to get back on the ship so it does not leave without us. Essential.
Had a nice swim w Emily (RD Friend) – we tread water for 30 minutes – nice! The pool is small but perfect for a quick dip. I hope to exercise daily. (Plan to exercise – I mean Will Exercise). New friendships evolving too – hooray!
View from my window last night was another dark but comforting and rolling sea moving past us. The sea has a personality. Then got to wake up in Portugal. Superb! it is sunny, 65 degrees and windy – the sun is strong! We docked on the port side so I can see the gangway from my window…
Portugal. We are in Portugal, the country. Portugal. WE ARE HERE.
Have a Nothing New Day! ~Kristin
